Revised Syllabus for CLAT 2024

The CLAT syllabus for this year has undergone revisions, impacting the examination structure. In the UG CLAT 2024, candidates are now required to tackle 120 questions within a two-hour timeframe, as opposed to the previous format where they needed to respond to 150 questions. The UG CLAT 2024 examination comprises five distinct sections: English language, current affairs and general knowledge, legal reasoning, logical reasoning, and quantitative techniques.

The initial four sections entail reading passages, each spanning 450 words, followed by multiple-choice questions. In contrast, the quantitative techniques section presents concise sets of factual information, propositions, or numerical data in textual format, subsequently followed by a series of multiple-choice questions.

The PG CLAT, on the other hand, involves 120 questions that encompass various subjects, including constitutional law, jurisprudence, law of contract, administrative law, torts, family law, criminal law, property law, company law, public international law, tax law, environmental law, and labour and industrial law. Candidates will earn one mark for each correct response, while a penalty of 25 marks will be imposed for every incorrect answer.
