NEET SS Counselling 2023 Round 2 Application Begins

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is set to initiate the second round of counselling for the National Eligibility Entrance Test for Super Specialty (NEET SS) 2023 on December 18. Individuals who have successfully cleared the exam can participate in the counselling process by submitting their applications through the official website, www.mcc.nic.in. The application window will remain open until December 21.

During the NEET SS 2023 counselling round 2, candidates can fill their choices and make payments from December 18 to 21. The seat allotment process is scheduled for December 22, with the merit list becoming available on December 23. Candidates selected in the round 2 merit list are required to report to their designated institutions between December 24 and 31 to secure their seats for admission to D.M./M.Ch./DNB SS courses.

To confirm the allotted seat during counselling, students must fulfil the payment of the specified tuition fee. Eligibility for NEET SS counselling registration 2023 necessitates candidates to pay a non-refundable application fee of Rs 5,000 and a refundable security deposit of Rs 2 lakh concurrently.

  • Visit the official website of MCC — www.mcc.nic.in
  • Select “Super Speciality” from the menu on the homepage.
  • Navigate to the counselling registration link.
  • Login and fill out the form.
  • Download and print the acknowledgement page for future reference.

The NEET SS 2023, held on September 29 and 30, featured a comprehensive examination comprising 150 questions across 13 different disciplines. These disciplines encompassed medical, pharmacology, obstetrics and gynaecology, ENT, pathology, anaesthesiology, radiodiagnosis, microbiology, psychiatry, surgery, paediatrics, respiratory medicine, and orthopaedics. The exam implemented a scoring system where candidates received four marks for each correct answer and faced a one-mark deduction for every incorrect response.

Results for the NEET SS 2023 were officially declared on October 15. This examination serves as a pivotal gateway for aspiring medical professionals, including those seeking admission to Doctor of Medicine (DM) and Masters of Surgery (MCh) programs. Notably, approximately 156 esteemed public and private medical schools, alongside institutions like the Armed Forces Medical Service (AFMS), utilize the NEET SS for the admission process. These institutions collectively offer 2,447 coveted seats in DM and MCh programs.
